Kashmir Writers Forum

Kashmir writers Forum has been established in the month of Octumber 1997 and registered 1998 with its total member strength 10 no,s which include  Farooq Rafiabadi Shabnam Gulzar ,Mumtaz Bukhari Ashiq Hussain Ashiq  Hassan Azher, Tariq Ahmad Tariq,Nasir Zameer ,Roop Quasi,Majrooh Kashmiri, Nazir Talib. Farooq Rafiabadi was its founder Convenor,President Ashiq Hussain Zaki and General Secretary Hassan Azher. Gradually the forum expanded by virtue of  deletion and inclusion of further members, viz Gh Nabi Haleem Sopori, Sager Nazir Sayir Shabir Saqib poshpori,Qazi Mushtaq,Mawri Ishtiyaq Ashai ,Hamid Falak,Showkat Shaan, Gulam Mohammad Ladoori Sayir Shsbir and Gul Mir Ladroo.The aim and objective of the Forum is to promote Kashmiri Language ,literature and poetry in the state  in general and in valley in particular . The Forum is conducting Mushairas other literary programmes In different educational institutions and other relevant places.Besides an annual literary conference, since its establishment. The writers Forum has been awarded Khilat Kamraz in 2013 by Adbi Markaz Kamraz as an best literary organisation, and Varki Zareen in 2021 at the event Golden Jublee besides its basic member have been also awarded by AMK and by other government/ non governmental institutions for their best performance in the promotion of languages, literature and poetry.
The forum has also contributed alot towards development of an old and a sustainable lierary Federation of the state viz Adbi Markaz Kamraz Jammu & Kashmir which include President Vice Presidents Secretary and Libirarian ,who's work is immenent .The forum is still working for the cause its established in letter and spirit but due to the financial crunch the forum is running its literary activities 9n mutual membership funding. At present the members associated with the Forum are Farooq Rafiabadi Shabnam Gulzar Halim Sopori,Sayir Shabir ,Aqib Razi  ,Gul Mir Ladoora.Kouser Mushtaq,Shaan Showkat are executive member.besides a general council is also existing . The present office bearers of the forum are President Farooq Rafiabadi Shabnum Gulzar Vice President Shabnum Gulzar . Majrooh Kashmiri General Secretary ,Sayir Shabir Media Secretary . The Forum is also publishing its literary general titled as ,,Zubaan,, Further  Forum has it's one member namely Majrooh Kashmiri in executive body of Adbi Markaz Kamraz and two members also represent General Council of the said confederation namely Shsbnam Gulzar and Aqib Razi
